Are you an emerging or established Maganda Maker wanting to take your Business to the next level?

This program is for you.

Introducing the MML Business Mentors Collective!

Maganda Makers is excited to launch our new Business Mentors Collective, matching six emerging and established Maganda Makers with a collective of high-calibre professional women mentors, led by Katherine Taylor, Managing Director of Kernest, an independent strategic advisory working across the resources sector in Australia and Southeast Asia.

Over six months, from October 2026 to March 2027, you will receive six one-on-one mentoring sessions covering things like opening up your supply chain, strengthening your financial understanding, or growing your visibility through marketing and networking.

Sessions are held on video (Zoom, Teams, or your platform of choice), and your commitment is simple: turn up, learn, grow, and take action between sessions.

Applications open Monday 17th August and close Monday 14th September 2026. Our first six members will be announced on 5th October - kicking off our celebration of Indigenous Business Month.

About

Katherine Taylor

The Collective is led by Katherine Taylor, Managing Director of Kernest, an independent strategic advisory working across the resources sector in Australia and Southeast Asia. Katherine brings more than a decade of leadership experience and leads a collective of experienced, high-calibre professional women who are skilled and passionate about championing emerging and established Kimberley Indigenous women in business to their next level. Katherine spent her childhood growing up in Halls Creek, East Kimberley and is a proud advocate and ally of Kimberley Indigenous women.

Project Overview

What is the Program?

A structured, six-month mentoring program pairing emerging and established Maganda Makers with a collective of high-calibre professional women mentors, led by Katherine Taylor.

Who is it for?

There are 6 places in the first intake for Emerging and established Maganda Makers members.

What are the focus areas?

Focus areas include opening up supply chains, strengthening your financial understanding, increasing your visibility through marketing and networking opportunities.

What are the Program dates & format?

Program runs October 2026 – March 2027 of which you will have six mentoring sessions in total.

Note: MML's office closes for three weeks from 21 December 2026 to 11 January 2027, so December and January sessions will be scheduled around this break.

One-on-one sessions are provided on a video platform of your choice (e.g. Zoom or Teams).

It is important that you attend each session, engage and learn, and take action on what you discuss between sessions.

Business Mentors Collective

Fill out the Expression of Interest (EOI) Form via the link below.

You will be required to provide information that showcases your business and sets out the top three challenges you would like a mentor's support with, whether that's making connections, building your understanding, or learning something new. Plus submit a short video clip (less than 2 minutes) introducing yourself and your business (MP4 format or a private YouTube URL link).
