Maganda Makers

Club Ambassadors & Connectors

Maganda Makers is a free, supportive not for profit entity designed for Kimberley Indigenous women at any stage of their business journey – aspiring, emerging, established, or expanding.

The Maganda Makers Business Club is a key project of Maganda Makers Ltd which supports the women across the Kimberley to access training, mutual supports and a community of like-minded women who are building networks of moral support, information that help support each other and an environment that nurtures the aspirations of women entering this space of encouragement.

Three key towns in the Kimberley: Broome, Derby, and Kununurra host monthly get togethers delivered by our Maganda Makers Club Connectors, where the women can exchange, encourage and grow in their knowledge and expertise in business venturing.
Our Maganda Makers Ambassadors undertake networking opportunities to access training, bring information back to the whole group and are strong representatives for the Maganda Makers movement.

Monique Le Lievre

Monique grew up in Derby and now lives in Broome, where she's spent close to 25 years teaching music, mentoring young people and building connections across the Kimberley. She's a proud Nyikina woman, and that connection to Country and culture runs through everything she creates. Those who know Monique describe her as soft-spoken and calm, with a gentle warmth that puts people at ease.

Monique spent many years as a dedicated educator, bringing patience, warmth, and curiosity into every classroom fostering in her students not just knowledge but confidence and a love of learning. Monique is also an incredibly gifted musician. As a singer-songwriter, she performs under the name Stellar 'Manawala' Moon, mixing soul, funk, blues and rock into songs about who she is, where she's from and the strength of her culture. Monique brings together music, mentoring, mindset work, sound healing, vocal healing, workshops, empowerment sessions, choirs and ukulele circles.

At Maganda Makers, Monique is our West Kimberley Club Connector. She brings her music background, her own experience and her ties across the community to help Kimberley Indigenous women connect with each other, share knowledge and support one another. Her calm, gentle presence makes her a natural at holding space for others.

Bron Travers

Bron is a proud Nanda, Baard and Nyikina woman, born and raised in Derby, with over 13 years' experience running her own businesses. She is a consultant, Owner and Director of Ilgari Contracting and West Kimberley Contracting & Maintenance, both proudly Indigenous and female-owned, operating across the West Kimberley.

Bron is deeply involved in her community and has a genuine passion for creating opportunities, backing local business and bringing people together. She's an active presence around Derby, currently serving as President of the West Kimberley Turf Club. Behind her drive and determination, Bron has a warm, easy-going nature that makes her approachable and easy to yarn with.

As a West Kimberley Club Connector with Maganda Makers, Bron is a strong champion for the organisation, always ready to encourage more women to get involved and see what's possible for their own businesses. Through Yarning Circles and ongoing member engagement, she helps women stay linked into Maganda Makers programs, opportunities and each other.

Flo-Kay Beck

Flo-Kay is a talented Indigenous artist based in Kununurra, creating beautiful and unique pieces that reflect her creativity, her culture, and her heart.

People naturally gravitate towards Flo-Kay. She has a gift for making others feel seen, welcomed and appreciated, taking genuine interest in the people around her - and it's this quality that makes her such a natural connector and mentor.

As East Kimberley Club Connector with Maganda Makers, Flo-Kay puts these strengths to work supporting Kimberley Indigenous women across the region. She's involved in member engagement, Yarning Circles, workshops and events, always focused on making sure the spaces she creates feel open and easy for women to be themselves in.

Her creativity, her tight-knit ties across the East Kimberley and the care she brings to every interaction make Flo-Kay a much-loved part of the Maganda Makers team.

Tanya McLean

Tanya calls Kununurra home, where she pours her talents into Kookaburra Dreaming - working as an Indigenous consultant and facilitator and is also a keen photographer where she loves to capture the people, stories and precious moments that make the Kimberley what it is.

There's something about Tanya's bright, bubbly nature that instantly puts people at ease. She's down-to-earth and approachable, with a genuine warmth that makes everyone she meets feel welcomed, valued and truly seen.

As East Kimberley Club Connector with Maganda Makers, Tanya brings all of this - her local knowledge, her creative eye and her generous spirit - to helping women feel at home in the club through supportive yarns and gentle, encouraging guidance. Whether she's behind the camera or out connecting with members, Tanya is a treasured part of the Maganda Makers team, and her presence makes everything a little brighter.
